The Beaman Home's Mission:

The mission of the Beaman Home is to provide emergency housing, education, and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We do this by providing a safe haven, along with supportive services, while partnering with and educating the community.

Kosciusko County Shelter for Abuse (KCSA)

When individuals bravely choose to break free from the cycle of domestic violence, they're not just leaving behind the familiarity of their homes—they're also confronting the power dynamics imposed by their abusers. This bold step often escalates tensions, increasing the risk of further violence as the abuser seeks to reassert control.

Transitioning from victim to survivor is a monumental journey—one that demands courage, hope, resilience, and strength. It's about reclaiming self-respect, nurturing empowerment, and ultimately embracing the dignity of being a survivor.

At The Beaman Home, located in Northern Indiana, we're dedicated to supporting individuals through every stage of this transformative process. Our comprehensive and collaborative programs and services provide a lifeline for those seeking to break free from abuse and build self-sufficient lives.

Our services include:

  • A 24-Hour Crisis Hotline: 574-267-7701
  • Temporary Emergency Housing
  • Provision of essentials such as hygiene products, food, and clothing
  • Nonresidential Services for victims currently living with their abuser and survivors rebuilding their lives
  • Conducting Danger Assessments, assisting with protective orders, offering community referrals, counseling, navigating the legal system, and more
  • Emergency and Essential transportation
  • Case management and ancillary services
  • Support, referral, and advocacy for victims of family violence
  • Domestic Violence Intervention in Northern Indiana

At Beaman Home, we stand ready to accompany survivors on their journey towards safety, healing, and empowerment.
